Break Time

Hello Readers!

I have decided to take a short break for rest of August and possibly some of September. I am currently in the process of moving multiple times and starting the Fall School Semester so things are very hectic at the moment. I don't not have the time effectivley for my hair at the moment. I will still be doing the basics like washing and moisturizing, but I won't be doing it as often as I would like. Also my new installment of the Monthly Calendars will be put on pause as well.

Still come by the blog and read older posts that I'm sure will be helpful in some way. Whenever I do find any interesting hair videos or articles I'll share them will you all during my break so be sure to check those out as well.

Bye for now!

Butter To My Bread

Hello Healthy Hair Seekers!

I have finally found the butter to my bread ..... well in the case of healthy hair. You may know that I am currently transitioning to texlaxed hair so I have different textures of hair that can become very difficult to handle. As we all know breakage is the enemy to long healthy hair so we try to avoid it like the plague, but that can be extremely hard with transitioning hair.

On and off I've tried a new mixture for my deep conditioning process and every time my hair easy to detangle when compared to the wash days when I didn't use it. My deep conditioning mixture consists of Main 'n Tail Conditioner, LeKair Cholesterol Plus, and most recently Castor Oil.

I absolutely love this!!! My hair feels so good afterward and both my comb and brush run through my hair so easily cause the least amount of breakage/shedding that I've ever had. This will be staying in my regimen!

If you end up trying this out, leave me a comment with your experience. Both the good and the bad are welcomed.

If you would like to purchase these products online. (Both types of Castor Oil are included below):

July 2012 Hair Calendar

[Click to Enlarge]
Key:
AD = Air Dry
AD-SM = Air Dry Scarf Method
AlO = Almond Oil
DC = Deep Condition
MS = Moisturize and Seal
NSC = No Sleeping Cap
SC = Sleeping Cap
SSF = Sta-Sof-Fro
Womens 1AD = Women's One-A-Day multivitamins

Here is the first Hair Calendar. In the upcoming months I will be changing the format of the calendar to find out which will be easier to read and follow.

Looking back at July I see that I could have done much better with my hair. I should have taken my vitamins more consistently as well as not allow school to make me sleep without a sleeping cap. That is why I am giving myself a C for July 2012. For August my goals are to take my vitamins daily, wrap my hair when I'm not doing anything, and moisturize and seal daily.
